I'm incredibly excited to announce the successful completion of the "Short Course on Radio & TV for Senior Techniques Management from Developing Countries", a phenomenal program facilitated by the China Broadcasting International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co., Ltd. (CBIC). This experience was truly transformative, focusing on the cutting-edge intersection of Digital Media and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the broadcasting sector. The two-week course (16-29 April 2025) offered an in-depth exploration of how digital technologies are fundamentally reshaping radio and television, driving rapid media development worldwide. A core component was understanding the strategic application of AI technologies to revolutionize program production, significantly enhancing both efficiency and quality. We delved into how AI can automate tasks, personalise content, and provide actionable insights, truly pushing the boundaries of what's possible in broadcasting. Speaker for the OECD Conference on Effective Public Communication 2022
It was an honour to participate in the 5th meeting of the OECD Experts Group on Public Communication (EGPC) on September 26th and 27th, 2022. This hybrid event, held both in Paris and online, brought together over 150 government officials, experts, and stakeholders from 27 countries, all focused on a critical mission: accelerating the shift towards citizen-centred public communication and professionalizing the communication function.
As someone deeply immersed in the world of communication and digital media, I was particularly excited to contribute to the discussions. My expertise lies in leveraging digital platforms to create more accessible, engaging, and ultimately, more effective communication strategies. This event was a fantastic opportunity to see how those principles are being applied and evolved at an international level within the public sector.
The EGPC meeting delved into fascinating topics, including the vital role of communication in building public trust. This resonates strongly with my own work, where I constantly emphasize that genuine connection and transparency are key to fostering credibility, especially in the digital realm. We also explored two new OECD working papers on inclusive and innovative communication. This is an area where digital media truly shines, offering unprecedented opportunities to reach diverse audiences and tailor messages for maximum impact.
Perhaps most exciting was the progress made towards establishing an OECD international initiative for the professionalisation of the communication function (OECD Public Communication Network). This initiative aligns perfectly with my belief that communication, especially in the public sphere, needs to be treated as a specialized, strategic discipline. My experience in crafting digital narratives and managing online engagement has shown me time and again that effective communication isn't just about sharing information; it's about understanding your audience, crafting compelling messages, and utilizing the right channels to foster meaningful dialogue.
Being part of these conversations allowed me to share my perspectives on how digital media can be a powerful catalyst for citizen-centred communication. From utilizing data analytics to understand audience needs to employing interactive digital formats for better engagement, the possibilities are vast. It's about moving beyond one-way dissemination and truly creating a two-way street where citizens feel heard, understood, and actively involved.
I left the EGPC meeting feeling invigorated and even more committed to advancing the field of public communication. The insights shared and the connections made were invaluable. I believe that by embracing the full potential of digital media and strategic communication, we can truly transform how governments interact with their citizens, building stronger relationships and fostering greater trust in the process.
I'm thrilled to share some exciting news! I've been invited to join the prestigious PR INDONESIA Fellowship Program, an initiative that perfectly aligns with my deep passion for communication and digital media. This unique program is designed for PR practitioners who are not only committed to enhancing their skills but also to making a significant contribution to our field through the publication of a book.
For me, this fellowship represents a fantastic opportunity for intellectual exploration, creativity, and professional development. My career has been dedicated to understanding how we can best leverage communication, especially in the digital realm, to connect, inform, and inspire. This program provides the ideal platform to delve even deeper into these areas and distill my insights into a comprehensive work.
The core of the fellowship revolves around exploring, researching, and articulating one's expertise in the form of a book. As someone who constantly analyzes the evolving landscape of digital media and its impact on public relations, I'm eager to dedicate time to this kind of in-depth exploration. The program's promise of guidance, resources, and mentorship to refine writing skills, conduct research, and craft a compelling narrative is invaluable. I believe that effective communication, whether in a digital campaign or a published book, requires precision, clarity, and the ability to tell a compelling story.

This isn't just about individual growth; it's about contributing to the advancement of the PR profession as a whole. I'm incredibly enthusiastic about the journey ahead and the opportunity to add to the rich tapestry of insights within our field. Stay tuned for updates on my progress and the exciting themes I'll be exploring!
Australia Awards Scholarship (AAS)
It's with immense pride and gratitude that I reflect on a significant chapter of my academic and professional life: my journey with the Australia Awards Scholarships (AAS). This prestigious program, a cornerstone of the Australian Government's overseas aid initiative since the Colombo Plan in the 1950s, has profoundly shaped my expertise in communication and digital media. It has not only enriched my knowledge but also empowered me to contribute to Indonesia's development.
I have been incredibly fortunate to be a recipient of the Australia Awards not once, but twice. My pursuit of advanced knowledge in the field of communication led me to receive the Australian Development Scholarship (ADS) for my Master's Degree at the University of Queensland, Brisbane (2011-2012). This foundational experience in Australia provided me with a global perspective on communication theories and practices, laying the groundwork for my subsequent research and professional endeavours.
Building on that strong foundation, I was honoured to receive the Australia Awards Scholarships (AAS) for my Doctoral Degree at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane (2017-2021). My PhD research allowed me to delve deeply into the complexities of digital media and its transformative impact on communication strategies, particularly within the context of public engagement and information dissemination. The rigorous academic environment and access to world-class resources in Australia were instrumental in honing my analytical skills and expanding my understanding of the ever-evolving digital landscape.
The Australia Awards program, as offered in Indonesia, provides a diverse range of opportunities including PhD, Masters, Split-Site Masters, and Short Courses. Its overarching aim is to support Indonesia's development goals through education and knowledge transfer, while simultaneously fostering a lasting relationship between our two nations. This mission resonates deeply with me. My experiences in Australia, both as a Master's and PhD candidate, equipped me with invaluable insights and skills that I've been eager to apply back home in Indonesia.
The transformational nature of these scholarships goes beyond academic achievement. They cultivate emerging leaders, fostering their ability to return home and contribute to their nations' development, prosperity, and resilience. As someone who specializes in effective communication and leverages digital platforms to achieve impact, I constantly draw upon the knowledge and networks I built during my time in Australia. From crafting compelling digital narratives to understanding audience behaviour in the online space, my Australian education has been a constant wellspring of inspiration and practical application.
Looking ahead, I remain committed to utilising my expertise in communication and digital media to further Indonesia's progress, building on the incredible foundation provided by the Australia Awards. My journey with this program has not only been a personal achievement but a powerful catalyst for my professional contributions, and I am immensely grateful for the opportunities it has afforded me.
